When you become a fan of the Arsenal, seemingly you want to know everything about them as soon after the news has happened as is humanly possible seemingly. GoonerNews.com has watched the growth of Arsenal News on the internet over the past 8 years and seen it reach record levels with Arsenal being far and away the most written about, searched for and read about football team on the internet. GoonerNews.com is the original website for Arsenal news ever since its launch at Highbury in 2004 where a team of 12 beautiful models handed out flyers promoting the internet’s new Arsenal News service Gooner News. Initially the team was based out of Woolwich where they were founded, but as the team grew, they moved in 1913 to the new Arsenal Stadium in Highbury. The team is based in Holloway, North London and they are affectionately referred to by their fans as “The Gunners”. They got their name from the company the players worked at, the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, south-east London and the team was renamed to Royal Arsenal shortly afterwards. Eight years of cutting edge Arsenal News always served up in the simple, intuitive user friendly format. The team colours are red and white, and the cannon is their symbol even still today. It has been easy to see how so many people have become avid fans of Britain’s famous Arsenal football club, because of the beautiful way they play under the stewardship of Arsene Wenger and with players like club legends Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Tony Adams, Patrick Viera, Emmanuel Petit, Lee Dixon, and David Seaman and more recently and now Robin Van Persie, Cesc Fabregas Thomas Vermalen, Alex Song and Theo Walcott. Arsenal FC are one of the most successful clubs in English football having won 13 First Division and Premier League titles plus 10 FA Cups. Following that they would move to the stadium currently referred to as their home stadium, The Emirates, which can hold over sixty thousand fans. The same applies to their rivalry with other London teams like Chelsea, Fulham and QPR plus the big North Western teams like Manchester United and Liverpool. The cannon is the team’s symbol from when the team originally arose from the armament factory, as is their nickname, The Gunners. Hopefully Podolski’s signing will encourage the Dutchman to resign for the Gunners as his signature is vital if Arsene Wenger hopes to attract more top talent to The Emirates and stop the exodus of stars like Thierry Henry, Emmanuel Adebayor, Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri as in past off- seasons. The club changed its name from the Royal Arsenal Football Club to Woolwich Arsenal Football And Athletic Company Limited when it became a limited liability company in May 1893 and then dropped the “Woolwich” a year later.

Now that Arsenal have balanced the books and operated to a budget over the past few years in order to pay for their new stadium, Arsene Wenger looks set to make a lot of transfer news this summer as he loosens the purse strings and adopts a much more aggressive transfer policy in Arsenal’s business as evidenced by his recent purchase of Koln’s Lukas Podolski who looks like he will form a formidable partnership with Robin Van Persie in Arsenal’s attack. Also, the Gunners are only the second side ever to finish an English top division season unbeaten (they did it in the 2003-04 season) becoming known as “the invincibles” in the process.

Why Sir Alex Ferguson Underachieved at Manchester United

m88 However he contested 8 European Cup semi finals, again winning 4. Fergie broke his own rule. I believe he underachieved in the European Cup. His Aberdeen side won 3 Scottish championships, 4 Scottish cups and a league cup, all won within his 8 year spell at the manager. He has let many players who did not agree with his view go. It is often overlooked that United outspent many rivals in the late 80s and early 90s. This is perhaps a tad unfair, but when we go into Europe it does hold.. David Beckham, Jaap Staam, and Roy Keane are three such high-profile cases. This ban was lifted in 1990 and Fergie won the Cup Winner’s Cup in 1991 at the first time of asking when United beat Barcelona 2-1. Indeed the so-called “Class of ’92″ which included Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Beckham and the Nevilles is rare in British football. However, his greatest achievement was actually ending the Old Firm dominance of Scottish Football by Celtic and Rangers. If you are unlucky and lose a few times in the big events (Jimmy White was a perennial loser in snooker’s World Championship and golfer Colin Montgomerie may have won 8 European Order of Merits but he could never win a major championship and there are 4 a season in golf) then you are atalented person or coach but you are not the best.

Fergie took over at United in 1986 when English clubs were banned from Europe. Possibly the only depth of young talent to come through in bulk like that were the Busby Babes of the 1950s and the Quality Street kids of the late 60s and early 70s at Celtic.

European Failure

To be considered the very best then you have to prove it. So Fergie didn’t even have to win the league!

Fergie won 2 European Cups in 22 years. In 2008 in the first all English final in Moscow, Chelsea’s captain John Terry had a penalty kick to win the trophy but he slipped and hit the post. He took the club from Scotland’s oil capital and won the 1983 European Cup Winner’s Cup in the Swedish city of Gothenburg against the mighty Real Madrid. So Fergie, in his 26 years at United we can remove 4 when he wasn’t allowed to be in Europe. He was outspent in his early years by the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid but in his later years he could attract the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo away from the European giants to play for him at Old Trafford.

Modus Operandi

First of all let’s look at his methods. His trophy count outstrips them massively. But as manager of Manchester United – “The Biggest Club in the World” then it doesn’t look so good. He knew Cantona was the best player in his team and he would do anything to keep him at the club. If we include non-British managers then Jose Mourinho has won 2 in the space of 12 years already and with different clubs (Porto and Internazionale). He has won 13 Premier League championships with United. Obviously a lot of credit has to go to the scouts and youth coaches too. The Glasgow clubs have a duopoly on Scottish titles and cups with almost 100 league titles between them in around 120 years of competition. Ironically once Cantona retired, Fergie finally gained the European success at United he craved.

Fergie can also be credited with bringing through a talented stream of youth players. More than 1 team from each country could now contest the big prize. This was true at Aberdeen and again at United. United’s goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar had went the wrong way!

Fergie won 2 European Cups in 22 years. He had a financial superiority over his domestic rivals for years until Chelsea turned up in 2004 under Russian oligarch Roman Ambramovitch. This may impress some, but if he was the manager of Ipswich Town or Sunderland and had done this, then it is an impressive record. However only 2 wins in European football’s premier competition in 26 years shows he cannot be classed as the best.

Over 22 years of leading United into Europe, Fergie would have to have won 4 or 5 European Cups to merit the “Greatest Ever” tag. His first final in 1999 saw United trail Bayern Munich 1-0 as the game went into injury time. And I’ll tell you why.

The Myth

Manchester United’s former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager in the history of football. Critics of the Scottish league would say that for Jock Stein or Walter Smith to win many championships at Celtic and Rangers is down to the lack of competition in a ‘poor’ Scottish league, then one could argue that Fergie may not have had a great deal of competition too. You have to win the big competitions. Fergie believes in control and discipline. But United outspent them over the 1990s.

This is where domestic trophies should always be discounted when we discuss the best managers. It is one of British sports great “What If” questions to imagine what Fergie would have achieved at Aberdeen? What would Scottish football have been like in the 1990s? And what would Manchester United, Sky Sports, and the English Premiership have been like without Fergie and his all-conquering United side?

Pantheon of Greats

Without question Sir Alex Ferguson is an all time great. Pep Guardiola won 2 with his superb Barcelona team in just 4 seasons.

The Truth

Sir Alex, or ‘Fergie’ as he is known, is one of the greatest managers in British football, but when you considerdifferent judging criteria he comes up short as the best of all time. He contested 4 European cup finals in total winning 2. However it could be argued that he had a greater competitive advantage over his rivals for a longer period than these managers due to Manchester United’s rise as a global superpower. This is an impressive success rate over a sustained period in charge of a football club. Remarkably United scored twice in 3 minutes from David Beckham corners to pip the Germans. Perhaps Fergie was coming to achieve the dominance he craved near the end of his career as from 2008-11 he reached 3 out of 4 European finals, an achievement if he had sustained earlier then he would have become the all time best.

Domestic Success

This is the foundation ofFergie’s reputation. And 2 European Cup Winners Cup (1 with United and 1 with Aberdeen).

Fergie’s greatest success was with Aberdeen. 5 FA Cups, 4 League Cups and 2 European Champions League trophies. Brian Clough won 2 with little Nottingham Forest! Bob Paisley won 3 European Cups in a very short spell. Blackburn Rovers and their millionaire owner Jack Walker ‘bought success’ when they won the title in 1995. This goes for any sport. However hiscontrol was found lacking during Eric Cantona’s infamous ‘kung fu’ kick at a spectator. His longevity at United is comparable to the likes of Brian Clough (Nottingham Forest), Matt Busby (Manchester United) and Jim McLean (Dundee United). Fergie broke this mould along with to a lesser extent Jim McLean at Dundee United. It could also be argued that when the European Cup was revamped to the Champions League he gained an advantage previous British and European managers never had. The number of trophies he won both at Manchester United and more impressively at Aberdeen is not debatable. The 2 wins Fergie achieved were also in very dramatic circumstances and could easily have went the other way

These were some of the greatest and most popular names in American soccer. Appearing for some of England’s biggest clubs, Friedel firmly established himself as one of EPL’s best goalkeepers in the noughties, turning out an astounding 310 consecutive Premier League appearances spread out between Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa (Friedel was an ever-present for three straight seasons at Villa), and Tottenham (where he is still active, albeit now in a backup role)

DFB Pokal: Hamburg upset by fourth-tier team, Dortmund advance

fun88 The pair combined five minutes later with the Armenian enjoying his role on the left-side of a 4-3-3 formation.

Chemnitz could have equalized soon after, though, as Danneberg beat the offside trap but dragged his shot yards wide of Roman Burki’s post.

Hamburg has been knocked out of the DFB Pokal by fourth-tier opposition — just months after securing their Bundesliga status in the relegation playoff.

Bruno Labbadia’s side looked set to be heading out in normal time until Michael Gregoritsch’s 94th minute equalizer secured another 30 minutes of anguish for Hamburg fans.

But 19-year-old Johannes Pieles beat Emir Spahic to a cross ball in the 106th minute to score a famous goal for the East Germans whose fans invaded the pitch in delight at the final whistle.

It is more misery for Hamburg who evidently has serious work to do before next week’s season opener at Bayern Munich.

Justin Gerlach’s free-kick from 30 yards on 15 minutes showed the inadequacies of Hamburg’s current goalkeeper Rene Adler.

Breaking down their well-drilled opponents was difficult for Labbadia’s men, and highlights the need for further investment to prevent the club’s first relegation from the Bundesliga this season.

Hamburg levelled through Ivicia Olic on 48 minutes, but Jena one of the famous East German sides of a bygone era — hit a deserved second 10 minutes later when Velimir Jovanovic rounded off a fine counterattacking goal to put the hosts back in front.

As the clock ticked towards the inevitable conclusion of HSV’s first-round exit, a long ball into the box which included the committed goalie Adler in support — fell to one of the more promising summer signings, 21-year-old Gregoritsch who scored his first goal for the club.

The home side somehow found a supply-after-supply of energy, outrunning the Bundesliga side and looking sharper over the small distances. Pieles rose quicker than veteran Spahic and headed in the winning goal to leave Hamburg nursing another embarrassing defeat.

Earlier, Borussia Dortmund returned from European success in midweek to narrowly beat third-tier Chemnitz 2-0 with Henrikh Mkhitaryan scoring his fourth goal in two games.

Mkhitaryan hit a hat-trick versus Wolfsberg in UEFA Europa League action and scored the second to kill the tie, his assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first-half setting Dortmund on their way.

Thomas Tuchel started with the same core as Thursday evening, although Gonzalo Castro and Sven Bender played from the beginning. After the cobwebs had been brushed off, Dortmund created chances around the 18-minute mark when Aubameyang’s tame effort from 15 meters missed the target.

However, the Gabon international would break the deadlock on 25 minutes, the striker heading in Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s pin-point cross from the left-hand side. At the other end, Castro hit the woodwork on 38 minutes as Dortmund struggled to turn their dominance into goals.

But Tuchel’s men dropped the pace after the interval, which was a similar problem in the first leg of their European tie with Wolfsberg. The yellow-and-blacks could relax not long after when Mkhitaryan showed composure to curl the ball into the net from 12 yards on 83 minutes.

VfL Bochum, meanwhile, is the talk of the 2.Bundesliga after an impressive start to the season — and they made little weather of dispatching Salmrohr with Simon Terrode scoring a hat-trick. Freiburg’s Nils Petersen made it eight in three for the season, scoring four times to help beat Barmbek-Uhlenhorst.

Sunday’s late matches see Bayern Munich take on FC Nottingen in Karlsruhe’s Wildparkstadion, whilst fireworks are expected when Fortuna Dusseldorf and Rot-Weiss Essen meet.

. Chemnitz grew in stature and confidence and forced Burki into some meaningful action.

The goalkeeper from Switzerland was forced into a fine save from Chemnitz skipper Anton Fink with 15 minutes left as it threatened to be a nervy finish for Dortmund

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Ángel Di María can help PSG win Champions League | Football

m88 I played with him at Benfica, when me and him weighed just 70 kilos, the Brazilian said. He is a player who can help us go up another step.

It shows how much PSG are willing to get what they want. Sometimes you cannot have luck in one place but he is still a fantastic player. He is fantastic and will be fantastic for the team. They have fantastic players. For us it is always very good if we can sign a fantastic player like Di Mara. There is a lot of young talent and they get a lot of chance to play there. He is a fantastic player who plays for the team, the striker said.

Di Mara is one of the top three wingers in the world. We want to win the Champions League. Real Madrid are a fantastic team. He brings quality, big quality and for sure he will make our team even better than it is today. I have played against many top players. If it was up to me, Id like to sign many players. You need luck sometimes and to have all the players available to play. Ibrahimovic, however, cannot wait to welcome him into the fold.

He brings pace to a team. It can be like that. Hes fast, technical, he plays for the team, he knows how to play as an individual, how to pass, how to score. So hes better than me!

Its about details in the Champions League. Its not a step down joining the French League. He also knows how to play on the defensive side, he is an amazing player.

Its all about small details. He is welcome and we will receive him with open arms.. Of course, when Real Madrid got Gareth Bale they became better and we will become better with Di Mara.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes ngel Di Mara can help Paris Saint-Germain realise their dream of winning the Champions League and has urged the Argentinian to seal his move from Manchester United.

Related: Manchester United 3-1 Barcelona | match report

Am I surprised it didnt work out for him in England? No, its not about this. The guy has won everything. Every year they invest to get big players but also players that fit in the team. I love him, he is my friend. Blanc, the former France captain, although stressing a deal was not yet rubber-stamped, was hopeful Di Mara will join the French champions this week as their own North American tour continues. I am very happy there and he will be too.

David Luiz, the former Chelsea central defender, echoed Ibrahimovic and believes Di Mara, with whom he played for Benfica, would be the perfect signing for PSG. The people behind this, they want to become big. It is a technical and tactical league and many fantastic players are there. I dont know if it is done but, of course, if you get a chance to play with Di Mara it is a fantastic thing. When we played Barcelona last season we arrived in our bad moment and they were at their best level of the season. They are dreaming bigger and they will get bigger.

The former Real Madrid forward missed a flight to join Louis van Gaals squad in San Francisco while Laurent Blancs PSG side were playing Chelsea in North Carolina. So there is no limits. He will love playing there like I do

Sampdoria interested in Balotelli but want Liverpool to cut price

m88 Sampdoria have admitted their interest in Mario Balotelli, but have asked Liverpool to lower their 7.1m ($11m) asking price.

After struggling in his debut season at Anfield, Balotelli’s future has come under intense scrutiny this summer, with Brendan Rodgers reportedly willing to listen to offers for the man he signed for 16million ($25m) just 12 months ago.

The Northern Irishman fueled further speculation just last week by admitting he was “not sure” whether the Italy international would still be at the club by the conclusion of the current transfer window.

Sampdoria, who finished 7th in Serie A last season, have previously discussed a potential move for Balotelli, while Serie C outfit Castelli have offered an unlikely exit route for the 24-year-old striker.

With Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings all signing this summer to strengthen Liverpool’s forward line, Sampdoria have admitted purchasing Balotelli is a temptation, but that the Reds would have to lower their asking price.

Reports claim Liverpool are seeking to recoup less than half of what they initially paid for the striker, who scored four goals in 28 appearances last season, but Sampdoria are only willing to do a deal if the price is cut further, says club president Massimo Ferrero.

“They told me that Mario was yesterday in Genoa,” Ferrero told reporters on Monday.

“He costs 10m euros ($11m) but, with discount, you look with open arms.”

Adult/gambling/erotic games are also gaining ground online, as most things in this genre live on the web these days. Games like “Battle forge” and “Battlefield Heroes” for example, allow the players to join and play for free, with “perks” being the addition of customizations purchased from the developers for points, in exchange for money; much like Microsoft’s point system. However not all adult games have to be raunchy and distasteful.

5. Racing/Simulation

MMOG or (Massively Multiplayer Online Games) are extremely popular and you can now join for free and play many of them.

By: kizziewfknudson

Almost all games that are extremely popular have moved from the two dimensional side scrolling action to full 3D, allowing the player to take full advantage of their hardware and play in amazingly rendered environments..

“Battle Forge” is a card based strategy and MMOG game. Real online gambling can be fun too, however that is another topic that needs its own precautions and safeties.

Racing/simulation games are often one and the same as a hybrid racing game and most online games allow you to customize your vehicle, race, earn cash, gas, and other strategic factors to play their game. These hybrid games are evolving because the niches for a specific brand is small and many players look for as many facets of gaming in one source to enjoy. Games like strip poker, date games and other 3D anime/hentai like games are very popular for the 18+ crowd

Gambling Addiction: How To Identify Your Child Has A Gambling Problem by Joseph McNamarra

This is the right time and place for the parent to interfere and to do what ever it takes to discover the source of the problem in order to find appropriate tools for its treatment.

Parents should acknowledge the fact that not all people who engage in gambling activities are compulsive gamblers. For the first time in history, gambling is available close to home and now even inside of teenagers’ rooms. Teenagers use money for gambling that was intended for something else or bet money they do not even have. Unfortunately, parents are not some super heroes with special powers because in most of the cases even a healthy communication within the family is not sufficient to detect a problematic behavior on time. Since not all teenagers work after school or have the ability to work, parents convey the primary financial source of all the necessities. Our parents grew up thinking that gambling was wrong, but our children are growing up with gambling is as easy as going to McDonald’s. Responsible parents, who keep track of banking accounts, usually know the exact amount of MP3 players or cell phones their sun or daughter have, what simplifies the “counting” process.

Although Joseph McNamarra writes for http://www.gambling-portal.com which is a guide to online gambling, he was shocked to find that his son suffered from adolescent gambling. Teenagers become hostile towards their family members and friends so they would not have to deal with their problems. In the same way that you have provided guidance on important issues in the past, you can influence your children about gambling. << Back to “Family” Index

When your child develops drastic changes in academic performance and spends a lot of time browsing the internet, you have every right to question his motives. This is no longer the issue of money when teenagers excessively monitor sports results or become overly excited at the outcome of sports events. Developing a trusting relationship with your children, balancing their need for independence with your need to monitor their attitudes and behaviors related to gambling is a good start, but if you think the problem is severe, seek professional assistance.

Missing personal belongings or inability to cover regular expenses, which later on develops into borrowing money from family members or friends for gambling purposes communicate another warning sign of gambling addiction. Gambling Addiction: How To Identify Your Child Has A Gambling Problem

 by: Joseph McNamarra

Parents often feel that they know their children very well and that any visible sign indicating the smallest problem will immediately receive full attention and treatment, however, it is not always the case. If a parent listens carefully, it will not be very difficult to find little inconsistencies in child’s speech. Since, he has involved himself in helping other parents prevent this addiction in their children.

When your child loses interest in other activities he once enjoyed and is preoccupied with gambling-related activities, this is another warning sign of adolescent gambling problem. Even the most caring parent not always has the ability to check whether his child prepares his homework or engages in gambling activities.

Children tend to tell occasional lies to their parents when they feel stressed or try to conceal something, but when these lies become inconsistent on a daily basis, it is a symptom indicating bigger issues. This article provides some useful keys to help parents in early identification of gambling compulsion.

. These acts are usually followed by aggression and loss of control as repeated unsuccessful efforts to put their lives back on track.

Gambling problems are no longer the trademark of adult addictive behavior; on the contrary, it is becoming an increasingly widespread and damaging social and health problem around adolescents. In more severe cases, adolescences commit illegal acts in order to finance gambling habits. The following points convey some signs that your son or daughter may have a gambling problem:

Mood swings and intolerance characterize typical adolescent behavior due to physical and mental changes, but when gambling controls these mood swings, it destroys any acceptable lines of healthy behavior

Sports :: Finding Cheap Golf Clubs

Golf equipment is always very expensive and can sometimes be absolutely ridiculous. Read on to find out about how the best bargain shopper would go about choosing some new golf clubs for a bargain price. In order to make equipment sales, golf courses have to keep the newest and most sought after clubs available for their customers. If you know where to look and how to scout out the best deals, however, buying equipment for golfing doesn’t always have to break the bank account. The winter months aren’t really perfect golfing conditions, so plan your bargain shopping accordingly and you will be able to find the best deals. Everyone is advertising their price to be the best, and it can sometimes be difficult to know which one really is the bargain and which advertisement is simply claiming a sale when it is their normal price all along. The same goes for flea markets, where you are just as likely to find some very nice clubs as you are to find junk. Enquire as to if they have any secondhand golf equipment for sale. They might have specific details, or it may be a vague yard sale ad with the mention of clubs tacked on. You may not be able to use the clubs until spring, but at least you will have them. . Whether you are looking to shop online or in a brick and mortar store, the same rules apply to finding a good deal. You will be able to find many different leads in the paper, and you should follow up on all of them in hopes of finding someone to buy clubs from. As long as you are patient enough in finding a good deal, you can wait until next season to enjoy your cheap clubs.

First and foremost, the newspaper is a great resource for finding people who want to unload clubs. The best way to learn the answer is to simply shop around and compare the rates of several different stores. Therefore, they often have to unload their clubs with earlier model numbers, and this could mean huge cash savings for you if you ask at the right time (right before a new season of golf is about to start). This could either be at a local brick and mortar store or golf club store. As the primary golfing season draws near an end, retailers offer amazingly deep discounts on all of the sports equipment. Even if they don’t have any specific advertisements for them, you may find some nice clubs.

You may not be able to find any deals in stores, but you should consider a quick visit to your nearest golf course. You will also want to look for golf clubs at clearance or closeout sales. Whatever you do to track down some nice clubs, just be sure to enjoy your new clubs and be safe out on the golf course.

Every golfer needs his own set of decent golf clubs, which are always readily available at retail and specialty stores.

If you want to find the best discounts on golf equipment, then you probably already know that the best deals aren’t very easy to find. You can also head out yard-saling on days that are popular for that kind of thing

Using Reverse Line Movement To Win

Another important recommendation is to use a slow moving (but reliable) sportsbook. Last year was a good RLM season for NFL sports betting (45-29, 60.8 percent, +11.91), but two sportsbooks that were in the top five in NFL RLM in both seasons.

College Basketball sports betting was not too shabby either, with a two-year mark of 492-356-22, 58.0 percent, +91.96 units. However, instead of the line rising as you might expect, it instead drops to Chargers -6. RLM takes place when more money/ sportsbook picks are bet by the small percentage of bettors that are on the unpopular side (the sharps) than is bet by the huge majority of players betting the popular side (the squares). This is where an important word of caution is in order though. We tracked the top five books for each of the pointspread sports for the last two years, as as you can see, this strategy has been profitable in every sport. Keep an eyes on the top five sportsbooks at Sports Insights though, as NCAAF sports betting has been very liquid in that regard, with only one sportsbook (believe it or not, Bodog) finishing in the top five both years.

So what we recommend is to only use the top five each season for each individual sport (in terms of units won). Keep a close eye on Canbet here, as that Australian sportsbook cracked the top five both years.

To back this up, our friends over at Prosportsonline.net have tracked the records for games where over 60 percent of the public has been on one side, yet there was reverse line movement of at least one full point from the opening number at the top sportsbooks in NFL, NCAAF, NBA and NCAAB. All of this will be fun to follow (not to mention profitable) when every sport except baseball are going on simultaneously during the winter months.

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com. Furthermore, they list the RLM records for many individual sportsbook, making it easy to spot which books this system is working at and which books it may be best to ignore.

The highest two-year winning percentage using RLM from the top five books belongs to College Football, which went 480-341-10, 58.5 percent, +95.10 units. To illustrate, let us say that San Diego Chargers open at -7 over the Miami Dolohins, and over 70 percent of the sports bets placed on the game are on San Diego. This would make Miami +6 the RLM play.

So what causes RLM when the aim of most sportsbooks is to get as close to balanced action on both sides as possible? The answer to this is quite simple: the sharp bettors; the one’s who give sports betting advice. Carib ruled the roost season at 93-66-9, 58.5 percent, +18.55 units after ABC held the penthouse spot in the 2007-08 season.

Thus, following reverse line movements is the same thing a following the smart money. Keep in mind that NCAAB was the most liquid sport in terms of top-five sportbooks however, with not a single sportsbook making the top five both years.

By: Manny G

NBA sports betting has the lowest two-year five-book RLM winning percentage among the 11/10 sports, but then again, every gambler in the world would kill to go 382-301-9, 55.9 percent, +48.90 units, and the 57.5 percent win rate this past season is nothing to sneeze at. The records quoted below are based on the bets being made at the triggering books, so beating the move by a half-point or a few cents now and then would actually make your record even better.

Also, games where over 60 percent of the public are on one side, yet there is reverse line movement of at least 10 cents on the Money Line from the opening number at the top five sportsbooks in MLB and NHL sports betting has also been profitable. Note that these records are for sides only and do not include totals.

The NFL sports betting is generally considered the toughest sport to beat, yet blindly following this method produced an exceptional 59.2 percent win rate last season, improving the two year record to 328-249-12, 56.8 percent, +59.06 units. This may enable you to get the stale more favorable sports betting line at the time the reverse line movement hits at the triggering Sportsbook. The huge problem with this is that the nfl line, ncaaf line or nhl line may have moved too much by that time, and all of the value has been sucked out of the unpopular side.

The proper way to make a sports bet using reverse line movement is to place your bet as soon as there is an RLM of one full point (or 10 cents in MLB and NHL) off of the opening line. Sure, using this approach leaves open the possibility of the line turning around and moving back against you, but as you will see in bit, betting as soon as an RLM qualifies has been profitable in every major North American sport such as the last two seasons, so if one line turns around, so be it. It should be noted that many fewer MLB games have qualified so far this season (is the whole world using RLM now?), but smaller profits is still profit.Again, these records are for Money Lines only and do not include totals. Finally, NHL sports betting has picked up 148.49 units in two years, and unlike MLB, NHL had four sportsbooks out of the top five gain double-digit units this past season. Quite a few RLM followers watch the moves until almost game time, and then bet accordingly. Now do the sharps win every single time? Absolutely not! However, they are right more often than they are wrong, so being on the same side as the sharps is a prudent strategy over the long run, and again, the best thing is that there in absolutely no conventional sports handicapping necessary..

So what exactly is reverse line movement? RLM takes place when a large majority of bets are on one team, yet the line moves in the opposite direction

How to Make Money Handicapping Horse Races and Betting on Horseracing

That edge is what separates gamblers from handicappers and is why, in the long run, handicappers win more, but in all fairness, they don’t just win it, they earn it.

The way you make money handicapping and betting on horse races is in finding a good bet.

For some people, horse racing handicapping is an intellectual sport and they prepare themselves and work hard at it.

Your chances of success are much greater if you educate yourself, prepare, practice, and work hard, but there are no guarantees. If the success rate for handicappers is 5-10% then it is probably 1-2% for those depending upon luck.

There are thousands of people trying to make a living from horse racing by handicapping the horse races and then betting on horse races. The only work they do is to walk into the club house and maybe read a simple list of horses and riders. There are many more people, perhaps millions around the world, trying to make money betting on horse races depending upon luck or some other system to be a winner.

The big advantage that the handicapper has over the gambler is that he or she has an idea of each horse’s chances of winning and therefore, how much a horse has to pay to win in order to make money on such bets in the long run. The thrill of winning is probably pretty close to the same for each group, though the handicappers also have the satisfaction of working hard and getting rewarded for it.. The ones who depend upon luck or some other esoteric method are more like lottery players than handicappers, but the thing they all have in common is that all there money goes into the same pool and some from each group will be successful while many will not.

On the other hand, the ones who depend upon luck invest nothing but money and very little time

25 Books Every 7th Grader Should Read

Added to his stress is his own drive to succeed in the world of football and his internal debate whether steroids will be his way to stand out. On television, these twenty-four kids will fight to the death, and only one will survive. This is the first book in The Hidden series; they are all can’t-put-down reads!

Taking place during the French Revolution, this marvelous tale of history and magic follows Yann Margoza, a gypsy orphan being raised by the dwarf Tetu. Now take a step further into the fictional legend of Myst. As I said in the beginning, there are many more wonderful books out there to be read–these are just the beginning. These pages are your link to the story of Atrus, son of Gehn, and the last of the race of D’Ni–the masters of The Art, the craft of linking to other worlds through the descriptive art of writing. They come recommended by schools around the country, and I can also personally and professionally vouch for many, as they belong to my personal library for my own use.

The Tillerman kids’ mother just left them one day in a car in a mall parking lot. The city’s residents are fleeing in fear. There are so many more wonderful books I could include, but the request was for the 25 every seventh grader should read, so that is what I have attempted to provide. Deep down, she hoped they could find an adult they could trust, someone who would take them in and love them. Also recommended is Catching Fire, the sequel.

Casino-Gaming :: Sports betting tips

The first key to proper money management is to be sure not to bet more than you can afford to lose.

The sharp bettors tend to bet underdogs, and they tend to bet them early. Because alcohol clouds your judgment and usually helps you to make rash decisions you usually wouldn’t otherwise make. Squares usually bet later in the day (or week, for football) and they tend to pick the favorites. Sports betting tip #3 – Never Gamble While under the Influence

Sports betting tip #4 – Do your Homework

There is probably no better bet in sports than playing an underdog at home. All it takes is a little research of the sports books you usually bet at.

Sports betting tip #1 – Money Management

Below you will find a short list of basic sports betting tips and advice.

Sports betting tip #5 – Check the Odds. If you like an underdog, it is best to get your bet in as late as possible, where there is heavy action from squares on favorites.

The second most important aspect of betting on sports is shopping for the best number. To be a successful sports bettor you need to operate with a clear mind.

Some sports books have better odds on parlays and teasers. The best way to win money betting sports is to develop a niche and follow it closely.

This is without a doubt the most important aspect of betting sports and possibly the most neglected. There will be more discrepancy in the numbers on different sports at different sports books.

Sports betting tip #7 – Bet at the Right Time

Sports betting tip #6 – Play Home Dogs

There is a reason the casinos in Las Vegas supply you with free drinks while you are gambling. They must keep on top of EVERY sport and EVERY game. Slim underdogs regularly win outright.

Sports betting tip #2 – Shopping for Numbers

As a bettor, you have the advantage of streamlining your research, which is something the sports books are not at liberty to do. Teams play inspired ball at home. When you are betting big bucks the difference in odds translate into a huge difference in your payout

Top 5 Betfair Horse Racing Trading Tips For Beginners

For example, you see Horse A is trading at 7.0 on the lay side and 7.6 on the back side. Note also that making around £2 to £3 per race would give you a profit at the end of the day of around £50 – not bad for a few hours work. Fact. You now place bets at 7.2 and 7.4, meaning you in essence control both sides of the book and it’s very likely both sides will be taken, leaving you with a small profit. You can also “feel” that the market isn’t moving as it should, as the back bets are often gobbled up faster than you would expect.

5) DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, LET YOUR BET GO IN-RUNNING. It’s probably a good idea to trade horses with prices between 10.0 to 17.0 to start with, as at these levels the market is easier to “read”.

With practise, this technique is relatively easy to spot, as spoofers tend to use far larger sums that is usual on Betfair. And it’s tax free. Simply take the loss and move on. This is more suited to Irish racing, where there is lower liquidity, meaning price movements are far more pronounced. Its price is 12.0 on the lay side and 20.0 on the backside. The trick is to watch for the build up of these positions – comes with practise – and dip in ahead of them, then ride the price movement to a nice profit.

It’s worth pointing out that these types of bet can take some time to be filled, and practise is needed if the price starts bouncing around. This tip involves looking for large gaps in the market, seeing where money has been taken (a feature of the betting software) and placing your bet accordingly.

Just a few pre-tips beforehand: The best time to trade a race is around 10 minutes before the off. If the market does move against you it is still easy enough to close out for zero loss. Horse racing prices move where the money dictates. I know I did, but it is a stupidly risky thing to do and should be avoided at all costs. If you lose, don’t let it upset you, simply forget about it and move on to the next race…

Alright, so you’ve got yourself a Betfair account, you’ve downloaded Bet Angel or Gruss as your betting interface, had a little dabble, but still aren’t sure what you need to be looking for in order to start making some money. If you place a bet and the market moves against you, don’t hold on and on, hoping it will come back into profit, eventually letting the race start – you will end up losing a large chunk of cash. Nonetheless, this is one of the more fullproof ways of making small, consistent profits.

4) Look Out For “Spoofers”. You notice that there have been a few nibbles at around 13.0. Essentially, what you need to look out for are two empty price increments.

3) Speculate On Large Price Movements. Certainly I got caught out a number of times when I first started. Now, this bettor who has placed the large bet, takes these back bets, lets it run for a little while, then places a series of large lay bets, forcing the price back out. If it gets taken, you then place a back bet at anywhere between 16 and 18, and if that gets taken you secure a nice profit. Indeed, how you take your losses – and there will be some – is just as important as making the wins count. This is something to watch out for when following Tip 1 on this list. This will cause a number of traders to pile in ahead of it (following the money), forcing the price down. This causes all the traders who got in thinking they could ride the back side to jump ship, forcing the price out even more as each one fights to minimise their loses. This is much easier to do using the “Ladder” interface view on Gruss or Bet Angel. This is when the action starts and liquidity markedly increases. Similarly, if there is a large amount on the lay side, the price is likely to go out (get higher). This can of course be repeated until the market catches up.

Essentially what happens is a bettor on Betfair will place a large bet on one side of the book – let’s say it’s on the back side, as that is the usual scenario (although it does happen frequently both ways). For instance, Horse A is running in the 5:10 at Galway. Well, here are my top tips on how to “read” the pre-race horse racing markets and as such start to make a profit, while minimising the potential for losses.

2) Look Out For “Gaps” In The Market. This is where you place your bet – a lay stake at 13.0 to 13.5. If there is a significant amount on the back side of the book, the price is going to ger shorter (get lower). Now, I understand that many of you will ignore this. While not as useful a tool as it once was, exploiting “gaps” can still be a very profitable addition to any betting system. Consistency is the key.

1) Follow The Money

Get Smarter By Knowing the Different Types of Governments That Exist

The laws are therefore changed to enable only the ruling class to hold great wealth, thereby guaranteeing their supremacy over the worker class. This is how a timocracy turns into an oligarchy, where riches are concentrated in the hands of a few.

Plato also highlights problems an oligarchy will face as a result of this divide.

? The rich men will consolidate power and wealth leaving the poor desperate for social emancipation, causing them to rebel against the oligarchs.

Like before, Plato says that the oligarch can be the son of a timocratic king, but without the love of honor and integrity that the latter possessed. He is more in tune with materialism and gives in wholeheartedly to the accumulation of money and riches. They accumulate wealth and spend it, often in excess, leading to a dependence on monetary policy and increase in the demand of wealth in the general population. ? Also, the threat from foreign aggressors may be greater, as the governing class, due to their far lesser numbers will be unable to amass a huge army, they will be reluctant to arm the oppressed working class too, fearing a revolt.

Although the aristocratic form of government as described by Plato expressly forbids the king from owning property (his needs are satisfied by the voluntary contributions of his people) the kings in a timocracy and oligarchy are allowed to do so. However, he is also astute as he knows mindless spending can bring even a rich man to his knees and is therefore, moderate in his pursuit of materialistic pleasures.
